Advice for First time VW owner
« on: October 15, 2017, 03:36:59 PM »
Howdy,
My name is Emily. I live in Jersey Village area.
I pickup a 2011 GTI autobahn on Saturday!
This is my replacement for my Subaru Crosstrek that was totaled  :(

Anyways, this is my first VW. What advice would you guys offer to a new owner?
As far as I can tell the vehicle has no Mods and I have a family friend sending me a cable.

What are things I should know about my car or things special to VW I should know?
Thanks ahead of time!

The CEL (check engine light) will illuminate soon. Hahah only kidding around, sort of. Welcome to the VW family!
Regular maintenance on these cars will keep them running for many miles. Other than that, it’s German so it expensive when something does break. But it’s worth it. Safe little cars that are fun to drive. Come out to our monthly meets or join us on the FB page that many of us frequent more often “HTX Volkswagen”. There’s a lot of enthusiasts and helpful people here and there also.  :)
